Her Feeding Tube was Pulled Last Friday

Topics: Action Items, Euthanasia

Kelly Meyer, 44, suffered strokes on both sides of her brain. According to a friend, she is responsive, sequeezes hands and blinks in response to questions. Her feeding tube was pulled last Friday.

I spoke briefly with Missouri Right to Life this morning and was told they've moved Kelly out of Westchester House, the location mentioned in the link above. Readers are urged to contact the States Attorney General.

Comments

1) Does this mean that Missouri Right to Life definitely confirms that this is happening?

2) Does anybody on the right side know anything about Missouri state law on the subject? I assume the friend has no legal standing, but that may not be a given. Was this judicially authorized? Does it need to be, formally? It's a little late in the day to be asking all of this, I'm afraid.

3) Does anybody know where she is now?

4) If Missouri RTL finds out where she is, are they going to organize any sort of protest?

1) Yes - they did confirm
2) Missouri RTL said they were working with attorney's but, as you mentioned, are having significant difficulty. Unfortunately, they were alerted very late
3-4) I'd like to know the answer too

Chris,

Thanks for passing that information, dreadful though it is. We need to know these things. Can you give a source for that? I realize you might be a friend of Kelly's or have some direct contact with someone in the situation, but I'd like a source to cite for possibly updating a blog post on the subject.
