« Bobby Schindler at Steubenville this Thursday | Main | Response to Michael Schiavo » April 4, 2006DeLay, Pro-Life Politicians Attacked by Terri Schiavo's Ex-HusbandTopics: NewsThe feud between retiring pro-life Congressman Tom DeLay and Terri Schiavo's former husband Michael is not as old as the legal battle with Terri's family, but intense nonetheless. After DeLay made an announcement that he is retiring his Congressional seat, Michael released a statement attacking him.The same article contains a unique contrast. Michael Schiavo's political action committee has an agenda to attack pro-life politicials while the Schindler family has set-up a Foundation to help the disabled.

Maybe Mr. Delay is resigning because he is tired of being surrounded by evil. You can only take so much. Terri's death was flat out murder. And any one with any logic whatsoever knows that. She was NOT brain dead. She was very much alive. She just could not speak for herself. If she had the therapy that she needed, she would have improved and would probably would have been able to tell what happened to her that night. I believe that this was all this was about. Getting rid of Terri and getting rid of her body. Then there would be no "EVIDENCE" Why else would Michael turn down one million dollars to give guardianship back to Terri's parents? It certainly wasn't out of love. Posted by: Betty Layne at April 7, 2006 12:13 AM I am so proud of Tom DeLay. Regardless of what else he maybe involved in, the other charges and all really don't matter in my eyes. He took a leap of faith and stood up for what he believed in- He called Congress back during their Easter recess b/c he knew Terri's life was worth saving. It's sad that the good guy always finishes last. Mr. de Lay, you still have a supporter in California. Thank you for standing against the murderers who killed Terri, thank you for the support you have shown the Schindler family. Thank you for standing up justice, even when the system failed all of us. I wonder considering how weird this whole case was (everyone cooperating with Schiavo and his attorney Felos) if DeLay was pressured, threatened, etc. into resigning? It just seems really out of character for DeLay, and seems like something must have shooken him up to resign. Not accusing just wondering
