« For Terri | Main | Fired Nurse Claims Terri Feels Pain » March 23, 2006Schiavo Interview Stirs ControversyTopics: CommentaryIn a startling revelation, Terri Schaivo's ex-husband Michael admitted in an interview that his new book Terri: The Truth was written to "settle some scores" with Terri's family rather than honor the memory of the woman at the center of a national euthanasia battle. - LifeNews The MSNBC interview the article is based upon is found here. Quite frankly, I don't find the revelation startling at all. It seems rather consistent with prior testimony Schiavo gave during a 1999 depostion: Q. Have you considered turning the guardianship over to Mr. and Mrs. Schindler? What I find remarkable is his assertion that an affair (he actually had multiple) while staying married to Terri was somehow honorable: Lauer: People have often asked. Michael why didn't you divorce Terri, you were living with Jodi.An appeal to sentimentally as a justification for adultery? Yet, this didn't stop Michael's legal representative, George Felos, at the expense of Terri's medical fund, from likening Terri to a "houseplant". I've had enough of Michael Schiavo and tire of speculation regarding what he did or did not do. His alleged hidden agenda pales in comparison to the events (Terri's dehdration and death) that are publicly known. Posted by tim at March 23, 2006 12:10 PM Articles Related to Commentary:

He is so weird, he has an affair but doesnt divorce Terri because you don't just give her back? LIke who was he to "give" her? He seems to forget that she was her own person, there was nothing to give back, he should have just divorced her like any other man moving on with another woman. I'm surprised anyone in the media would even call him on that. Little Mikey is still livin' in a world of his own...
