Symposium Features Euthanasia Line-Up

Topics: News

Michael Schiavo is speaking during an April ethics symposium at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Bioethics. Almost one year ago, Schiavo won a 12-year legal battle and ended his wife's life by withholding nutrition and hydration.

The meeting, titled "The Legacy of the Terri Schiavo Case: Why is it so hard to die in America?" also features Dr. Ron Cranford and Circuit Judge George W. Greer.

Cranford is a well-known euthanasia advocate who drew national attention in the Terri Schiavo case by testifying that she was in a persistent vegetative state. Reportedly, he has been on the board of the Euthanasia Society of America, has ties to the Hemlock Society and testified similarly in other cases.

Greer is the judge who ordered the suspension or nutrition and water to Terri Schiavo.

Another example of glaring bias on Greer's part. He dares to go around now, speaking at conferences that stand in favor of Mikey's position?

Then again, what am I saying? Judicial ethics are almost nothing to him; he didn't recuse himself from the case, so why recuse himself from this engagement?

What if Scott Peterson got off, and later the judge appeared at a conference featuring Scott?
