For those mainly concerned that all legal i's get dotted and t's get crossed, or for those who feel this situation is kosher because they (mistakenly) believe they have been, the Empire Journal has a good appetite-whetting summary of legal problems with this case:

It’s important for America to understand that Congress must get involved in the Terri Schindler-Schiavo situation. Yes, this is an emotional case, and yes there are questions about the right to die, but at the heart of the issue are the mass violations of laws that have been broken to bring the case this far--as far as Washington....

Unfortunately some morons have taken it upon themselves to sign the petition to impeach the judge using fake names and shameful comments.

Michael Schiavo is a very sick, disgusting, evil, vile man. There is no other way to put it. There is one fact and that is he will have to answer to God and he will be judged. Perhaps he should read the story of David and Bathsheba.

one: terri IS NOT a "vegetable"
two: She DID NOT tell her husband any carried-out intructions.
three: michael shiavo is "clearly" monetary driven, and not looking out for her.
four: WHY is there "any" hurry to kill her; without seeing what/if the future holds for brain medical technology.
five: we will spend thousands of dollars to let scott peterson sit in prison and appeal his guilty carcas for years; thats ok?
Let us all stand in large numbers, tall and strong, to show compassion to those less fortunate, by no choice of their own, whom cannot stand and fight for themseleves.

Congress must act now! someone has to speak for the rights of Terri and all Americans. Michael needs to be removed ASAP! from guardian!
WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH JUDGE GREER! AND WHY HAS MICHAEL GOTTEN AWAY WITH TREATING TERRI LIKE THIS?
Spending 1.7million dollars that should have been invested for Terri's welfare has been SQUANDERED on legal fees and who knows what else!! He needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for violating his power of guardianship!
TERRI DOES NOT HAVE A LIVING WILL!

I noticed a lot of spam like signatures to the impeachment petition. Too bad they couldn't remove those.

Can't the Governor of Florida do something like kick Greer out of office? Greer is in there illegally anyway......
