17 Medical Experts Weigh In

Seventeen medical experts have filed affidavits on behalf of Terri Schiavo, expressing the opinion that more medical testing is called for in her case. You can read the affidavits at the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation web site.

Many of these doctors recommend specific treatments and/or express optimism that her functioning could be improved. Several state an opinion that based on video tapes they have seen, they believe she is not in a persistent vegetative state.

More affidavits are expected to be filed next week.
