Schindlers File Emergency Motion, Schedule Press Conference

Topics: Legal affairs

Today, the 2nd District Court of Appeals denied the Schindlers' motion to withhold their mandate that would clear the way for Terri Schiavo's feeding tube to be removed.

The Schindlers have filed today an emergency motion for clarification and temporary stay and are asking the lower court to ensure that the issuance of the 2nd DCA's mandate does not automatically permit the withdrawal of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube. This was after being informed by Michael Schiavo's attorney that he intended to have Ms. Schiavo's assisted feeding and hydration discontinued tomorrow, February 22, 2005, by 1.00 pm ET (GMT-5).

A press conference is to be held at 2.30 pm today and an update will be sent following.

I found out about this cause just recently. My prayers are with Terri and her family. I am very saddened by this whole lawsuit. There shouldn't even have to be one!
