I like this! It is well stated and might make the Florida legislature take notice. A word of caution, however. Non-Florida residents might want to refrain from signing the petition. The Florida legislature is not bound to consider the opinions of people from elswhere and should the petition be populated with signatures from outside Florida they may not feel bound to act upon it.
I only say this because I don't want to give them any weasel room to ignore it.
